Course objectives
Definition of basic blocks of measuring apparatus. Generators: Sources of voltages and currents, standardization, HF and microwawe generators, sources of IR radiation, sources of UV - Vis radiation, sources of RTG and gamma radiation, coherent sources of radiation. Generators of particles. Detectors: mechanical, chemical, detectors of radiations and of particles. Processing and analysis of signals: Processors, coding, A/D and D/A converters, interference, noise. Noise elimination by hardware and software processing. Correlation and Fourier analysis. Display: Analogue, digital, mixed. Signal recording. Connection with computers.
