The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Siliceous weathering products originated during geological history by weathering of different rocks of Bohemian massif. Represent important indicators of paleogeographic and paleoclimatic changes. The course is devoted to students of sedimentary geology, mineralogy. The main goal is followed: to present to students the problems and methodology of the investigation of siliceous weathering products.

  • 1.Introduction-main groups of siliceous weathering products. 2. Weathering. 3. Siliceous weathering products of serpentinites, gneisses etc.4. Silcretes and methodology of their investigation. 5. Siliceous weathering products on rocks of the Bohemian massif. 6. Examples of the most wellknown world occurences.
