Syllabus
  • 1. Investigation of wood. Determination of wood sort. State, range and reason of damaging . Possible determination of further treatment (consevation or restoration)? 2. Wood desinfection and cleaning. Selection of suiable desinfection means and its application - spattering, coating, grouting Surface treatment of wood material from row impurities, mechanical a chemical methods of perfect cleaning. 3. Wood impregnation methods. Petrification - methods used in practice. 4. Impregnation methods of water-saturated wood. Storage of wet wood before conservation. Hydratation methods, methods without previous hydratation. 5. Surface dressing of wood. Cementation, pickling, chalking, gilding, lackering. 6. Parchment documents. Cleaning, removing of old repairs, deconservation, desinfection, softening and levelling of deformations, other repairs, pouring of paper mass, storage. 7. Paper. Fixation of colour layer and text. Desinfection, mechanical cleanig, cleaning by using aqueous systems, chemical cleaning, removing of acidic imputities, gluing. 8. Paper. Reparations of disruptions, refilling of missing parts, skeletization, lamination, partitioning. 9. Paper. Emphesizing of pale texts. Mounting of large and small paper sheets. 10. Seals Cleaning, bonding, impregnation, vaccum methods, filling, casting, desinfection. 11. Book binding. Restoration of book block and binding. 12. Book binding. Restoration of book block and binding. 13. Restoration certificate. Working on a message and conservation record.
