Course objectives
Lecture course is oriented as basic overview of ecotoxicology of microorganisms including namely advanced description of commonly used microbial biotests and bioindication techniques used for evaluation of stress influence on microbial communities in soil, sediments and water. The second part is devoted to biodegradation techniques, standard biodegradation tests and kinetics of biodegradation of POPs. All topics are explained with respect to potential application in the process of ecological risk assessment.
