Course objectives
The aim of this course is to give students bsic principles of evolutionary biology as a scientific discipline focused on solving an array of questions and problems such as micro- and macroevolutionary mechanisms, evolution on the molecular level, adaptations, bahavioral and ecological aspects of evolution, origin of life on Earth, origin and evolution of sexual reproduction, origin of species (speciation), macroevolutionary trends, classification of organisms and phylogeny inference, human evolution and cultural evolution.
