- Course objectives
- Comparative vertebrate physiology (CVP) is intended for students who are majoring in biology or zoology and already have a general biology background from course as General Zoology and Animal Physiology. CVP is the comparing and contrasting of physiological mechanisms, processes, or responses of different species of animals under differing conditions. This course primarily examines the physical, chemical, and biochemical principles common to physiological system, that is, it presents a systems approach. It then examines the variability of physiological processes for the wide diversity of animal groups. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand and able to explain the basic principles as animals are adopted to their environment.
