No specific courses are required. Basic knowledge of calculus and English is expected. Knowledge of economics is not necessary.

Course objectives
The first part of the course (before the midterm examination) introduces students to techniques of modeling consumer and producer behavior to analyze their interaction through the lens of the general equilibrium. The second part of the course familiarizes students with game theoretical concepts and their application to problems of asymmetric information, moral hazard and auction theory.

Assessment methods
The course grade level will be composed of the midterm examination - 30%, final examination – 50%, two homeworks – 20%.
