The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
In the seminar, modern diagnostic methods as well as simulation techniques, which were not possible to present in the framework of basic lectures, have been discussed. Every student has to present a lecture on selected subject
Learning outcomes
Students understand principles of selected modern diagnostic method for being possible to use them in their work.
Syllabus
  • Retarding field energy analyzers; Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy; Quartz crystal microbalance measurements; Probe measurements - cutoff probe, hairpin probe, two-resonance probe, multi-pole resonance probe; Magnetic force microscopy technique; Electric-field measurement technique - Pockels effect, Kerr effect; THz spectroscopy; Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy; Cyclic voltammetry; Sensitivity analysis and optimization of a numerical model; Direct simulation Monte Carlo method used in magnetron discharges
