- Course objectives
- At the end of the course the student will be able to apply knowledge of minerogenetic processes to interpret the formation of minerals and deposits.
- Learning outcomes
- After the course, student will be able to:
- describe main types of minerogenetic processes;
- describe and assign main mineralization types related to specific minerogenetic processes
- identify main minerogenetic processes that take place during formation of mineral assemblages or mineral deposits;
- apply the gained knowledge to solution of a practical problem during his/her work - Syllabus
- 1. classification of mineral deposits 2. magmatogenic deposits 3. metasomatic bearings 4. hydrothermal deposits, recent hydrothermal processes. 5. formation of deposits related to weathering and sedimentary processes. 6. residual deposits, supergene enrichment deposits, infiltration deposits. 7. chemogenic and biochemogenic deposits, organogenic deposits. 8. metamorphic and metamorphic deposits. 9. temporal and spatial aspects of the formation of mineral deposits.
