Course objectives
Biosystematic seminary is scheduled meeting of academic staff and students focused on plant biosystematics. Main objectives can be sumarized as follows: to learn how present and discuss aims, methods and results of research take up with the related botanical istitutions, to arrange contacts, to get an idea about offers of future employment
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- effectively perform literary recherché on the basic types of biosystematic research;
- choose an appropriate method for biosystematic data sampling, processing or evaluation;
- present the methods, objectives and results of her/his own scientific work;
- carry out a critical analysis and evaluation of scientific publications;
- orientate in the basic procedures of coordination and management of scientific teams and in the system of financial support of science in the Czech Republic
Syllabus
  • Presentations of research aims, methods and results. Reports about conferences, workshops and scientific meetings. Reviews of new paers and books related to plant bisystematics. Invited lectures of scientist from related institutions.
