Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the principles and rules of final reports writing, i.e. outputs that in practice conclude work related to the research and implementation of water resources.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to write a final report in the field of water resource management, in a structure corresponding to a professional report complying with legislative requirements and containing:
- Introduction;
- Description of the study area;
- Methods;
- Results and discussion;
- Conclusions;
The outcome is the final report, its review and defence, including subsequent re-writing and review.

  • Significance of final reports.
  • Legislative requirements for expert reports.
  • Structure of the final report.
  • Sources of input data for final reports.
  • Grammar and layout of the final report.
  • Defence of the final report.
  • Supplementation and revision of the final report.
Teaching methods
lectures, group projects, study reports prepared by professionals in the field and provided in electronic form in study materials
Assessment methods
defense of an independently prepared final report on a selected area of water resources management

In the case of a study abroad, the course can be taken as an alternative. Interactive curricula can be used for this purpose.
