A picture is worth a thousand words. A map is worth a thousand lines with names of countries, international treaties and dates of their ratification. This was the basic idea inspiring the creation of the Human Rights Interactive Map (HRIM). Its aim is to give the user an insight into the geographical scope of application of the basic universal and regional instruments protecting human rights.
Whether you are interested in a specific convention, the HRIM can show you a world map depicting which states have until now ratified it. Or, if you are interested in a specific state, the HRIM can show you the list of conventions ratified by this state, including dates of their ratification. Thereby you will easily and in user-friendly way find out whether the state is “covered, or not covered” by the specified convention.
Should you need more detailed information about the HRIM and its utilities, please read the instruction manual. If you miss something useful in the HRIM, please, feel free to let us know. We will be happy for any feedback.
Show list of treaties using a menu button at the top-left on the map to turn on/off some type of treaty.
