This week, we are going to speak about and try to define the following terms:

INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCES
In our class discussions and activities, we are going to make observations and experience new insights as well as develop our understanding of how communication across cultures work.
During the semester, you are also going to work on a group project (week 5).
At the end, each of you is going to give a short presentation (week 14 and exam period).

Hofstede´s model explained:Intercultural brunch + final presentations registration
We are having an intercultural brunch this week. Please bring a snack /drink to share writh your colleagues and a recipe for a dish typical of your country / culture. We are meeting in the courtyard (building L/K) at 10.
Also, please choose a date for your final presentation.
The presentation needs to be 5-7 minutes long, relate to the content of our course and provide an analysis, explanation or interpretation. You need to prepare a visual support (PPT, handout, poster, etc.) and consider your audience needs. Ideally, your presentation should be based on 2 (or more) cultures (e.g. national, disciplinary, sub-cultures).
