The Objective

The objective of this course is to prepare students to succeed in the JA001 exam. The information about the exam is available here

Materials

All materials will be in the IS. Students are expected to bring the handouts in the class for each lesson in print or electronic form. 

Lessons

Lessons will primarily take place online on Zoom. The online lesson will consist of speaking activities in groups (approximately 60 minutes) and then followed by interactive online exercises or work with worksheets.

Credit Requirements

Class attendance and active participation. 

Presentation - students have to describe an experiment of their choice in the form of a presentation. These presentations will be online through MS Teams in groups of 3 students. Each student will present 1 experiment. The length of the presentation should be about 5 minutes.

Credit Test - at the end of the semester. There is no pass/fail border, students have to complete the test. The test will be online, students will take it from their home. 

Self-reflection - based on the credit test, students will write a self-reflexive essay in which they describe their strenghts and weaknesses.
