Introduction

Make sure that you have access to Microsoft Teams and that you are a member of the correct team based on your seminar group!
Students are requested to secure a good internet connection in order to participate in online lessons as indicated in the schedule. Students must attend these meetings with both the sound and camera on.

Maximum number of points per semester: 200
Pass mark: 140
Placement test: 10 points
Progress test: 10 points
Continuous assessment (journal): 40 points
Final written test: 80 points, pass mark: 70%
Oral test: 60 points
Attendance: 80% (You can miss 2 lessons without stating the reasons for your absence.)
Placement test
You can find the placement test here. You can access it from 5 October to 18 October 2020. You will be given 10 points for completing the test, no matter what your results are.
Progress test
The progress test covers units 1 and 2 and includes testing of grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and writing.
Continuous assessment
The continuous assessment regards keeping a journal with smart goals and reflection on the progress in your English development. The journal must include at least 10 entries per semester. The entries will be checked and discussed in the middle of the semester (11 November 2020) and during the oral test. You can write the journal by hand or on your computer.
Final written test
The final written test covers units 1-4 and includes testing of grammar, vocabulary, listening, reading, and writing. The pass mark is 70%. The test can be resat twice (once by repeating students).
Oral test
The oral test covers units 1-4 and is focused on speaking, use of vocabulary, and pronunciation. Your journals will also be discussed and evaluated during the oral test. There is no resit for the oral test.
