The study provides the complex education in a traditional university subject area on the basis of the comparison of Slavonic/Slavic languages and literatures with moderate area background of different Slavonic/Slavic disciplines in the structure of modules combining East-, West- and South-Slavonic languages and literatures. The study has a comparative philological character which enables complex comparative knowledge of linguistics, literary criticism, cultural studies, and historiography of Slavonic/Slavic countries necessary for the work in scholarly, educational and cultural institutions, journalism and expert activity.

The interdisciplinary qualification enables the graduates’ realisation in existing EU institutions, in public administration of all levels, in the institutions focused on the development and regional administration, in the institutions of various international organisations outside the EU, in educational institutions, media etc.

The comparative concept of the study creates good preconditions for continuing doctoral study in the framework of all commissions attached to the Department of Slavonic/Slavic Studies.
