The study programme in Cultural Sociology is intended for students with an interest in the complex dynamism of the interactions between social, cultural, and economic processes, as well as globalisation, popular culture, and others.

After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:

  • analyse social phenomena and understand them in cultural perspective

The graduates in Cultural Sociology study programme can pursue careers in the field of marketing (market research), opinion polls, at labour offices, in journalism, in state administration, in educational institutions and research centres, in human resource agencies and departments, in non-governmental sphere and social movements – in short everywhere where they can use their skills for analysing and understanding social phenomena.

Recommended Study Plan is presented to students at the very beginning of their studies. In designing their own study plans, students draw on the Rules and Conditions for the Creation of a Study Plan, and they must obey all rules stated in the Study and Examination Regulations of Masaryk University.
