The course is designed as a two- or three-semester course (depending on the student's choice - the third semester can be devoted to writing the final thesis and preparing for the board examination) and leads to a certificate within the meaning of Section 22 (1) (a) of Act No. 563/2004 Coll. and Section 3 of Decree No. 317/2005.

Its purpose is to prepare non-teaching graduates for the teaching profession and, in addition to a common pedagogical and psychological basis, it also develops technological skills so that the graduate of the course is able not only to act as a teacher of professional subjects in the fields of education, such as Information Services or Information Technology, but also to act in schools as an educator for the 21st century, a person who actively creates digital learning materials, administers e-learning and comprehensively develops educational technologies in schools.

162 hours of direct teaching in various forms according to the content of modules 1 to 4; 40 hours of supervised practice according to the content of module 5; 16 hours of individual or group consultations for the final thesis. This is therefore 202 hours of direct teaching in trainee-lecturer interaction plus at least 16 hours of tutorials.

Modules 1 to 3 represent the pedagogical-psychological basis, module 4 the technical basis. Students have the opportunity to pursue the topic of technology further either by enrolling in courses at the applicant's workplace (KISK) or through one of the many DVPP courses run and offered by KISK. Module 5 provides the necessary practice and teaching experience for the graduate.

As part of the internships and placements, the trainee will complete 40 internships in an educational institution. This time should be evenly distributed between tutorials, the creation of digital learning materials and support for the school in the field of technology in education and the trainee's independent teaching practice. A record of the placement will be created as a prerequisite for completion of this module. This will include at least two hours of individual reflection on the placement as well as a reflective practice log which the trainee will submit prior to the final board examination. This is a supervised practice in which the student is supervised by both a selected (introducing) teacher in the school and a faculty mentor.

After completing all the modules, the student can prepare a final thesis (in the range of 30-50 thousand characters including spaces) and after its submission proceed to the commission examination. In this examination, he/she will be asked one question each from modules 1-4. Each partial answer is evaluated with a pass/fail grade. Modules 1-4 will end with a sub-exam, usually requiring some other activity by the student (essay, digital object creation, homework, project, etc.). The face-to-face teaching will be supported by e-learning. At the end of each module and the whole course, an evaluation will be carried out by the participants.
