Master program Anthropology improves the knowledge obtained on bachelor level. Student becomes familiar with recent achievements in biological and skeletal anthropology, somatology, genetics, psychology, sociology, and methodology of research work. Physical and socio-cultural specializations are offered. Students obtain qualification for work in basic and applied science of anthropology in various state or private institutions. In addition they can apply for studies on postgraduate level.

After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:

  • know basic and advanced methods of anthropological research,
  • use modern PC based methods in the area of shape analysis and image analysis, microscopy etc.,
  • apply these methods in solving particular tasks, e.g. expert report, forensic case...,
  • manage basic theories and methods from the area of sexology, philosophy, archeology, social work, coexistence of minorities with majorities,
  • define the life-history concepts from the biological and socio-cultural point of view,
  • perform individual work in the area of specialized NGO institutions (care for minor-of-age, seniors, handicapped, minorities etc.),
  • evaluate the course of action adequacy in solving cultural conflicts in contemporary globalizing society,
  • define and test hypotheses, create custom research procedures, compare the validity of research methods,
  • interpret the results of the student's independent research in broad evolutionary and historical context.

Graduates of consequential master study program Anthropology can find jobs as a specialist in museums, departments of Academy of Science, criminalistics, ergonomic laboratories, in state management and foreign affairs.
