Course objectives
European Union and Euroregions The course aims to acquaint students with the European Union and European Community with the use of concrete information about the Union s and Community s profile, their institutions, content and forms of their work. The subject matter is divided into three thematic modules: - European integration, the beginnings, development and present state of integration, the prospects of EU development, EU and EC institutions; - The Association Agreement between the European Community and the Czech Republic, movement of goods, people, services and capital between EU members and the Czech Republic, EU and Central and East Europe. - European Community s regional policy, Euroregions, their concept and significance, their present state and functioning, development programmes. Examination: written and oral.
