Course objectives
The course objective is to create a safe and relaxed professional and inclusive atmosphere that fosters learning. The teacher's and her guests' objective is to help the students succeed in their professional and personal life, to inspire, and to share the lessons we had to learn the hard way so that the students don't have to. Students will have a unique opportunity to meet and interview successful entrepreneurs, start up founders, managers in different fields of business and non-profit organisations to understand what strategic management means in the world that, with the massive adoption of AI, accelerated multiple fold. Students will get access to very different personality types and leaders from different walks of life - while there is no right or wrong, certain topics, as much as they might seem as cliches, will bubble up across lectures. Students will be encouraged to exercise their critical thinking muscle - through conversations, writing their takeaways, and engaging in the Q&A with the guests. The mix of the guests will shape the objectives of the course to a certain extent so each year the course will be different. We will cover leadership through change in a fun in-class moderated activity, engaging methods of motivating self and the teams, marketing and sales cycle, entrepreneurship, startup world, and resilience in business. You may look forward to highly engaging Monday mornings with successful and inspirational people you would otherwise have slim chances to meet and talk to. Previous guests included: C-level executives from Kiwi.com, Mews (Czech unicorn), Rohlik (Czech unicorn), CreativeDock, CEO of Artin and Safetica, Founder of Venture Capital Fund Czech Founders, Self-made entrepreneurs and startup and scale up owners.
