Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to finalize the conceptual (research question, hypotheses) and technical (research design: data collection methods, sampling method, expected sample size needed for data analysis, data analysis methods) research plan of the dissertation project. It results in the finalized version of the dissertation project.
Learning outcomes
The course develops learning outcomes 1, 2, 4.
Syllabus
  • Completion of the course is awarded by the supervisor for successful defence and finalisation of the dissertation project. The defence may take the following ways: a) presentation of the dissertation project at a foreign conference, obtaining feedback from the conference participants on the project and integrating the feedback into the dissertation project, b) presentation of the dissertation project at the Scientific seminar. In this case, the supervisor will designate two reviewers to provide written feedback on the dissertation project. At the Scientific seminar, a discussion with the reviewers on their suggestions on the dissertation project will take place and then their suggestions are incorporated into the dissertation project.
