Course objectives
The workshop aims to introduce the participants to the skills and techniques needed to become a video journalist. The workshop is a mix of theoretical and practical work that aims to build confidence in, and a professional approach to, the role of the VJ. Emphasis will be placed on techniques on how to film for the editing process. We will learn how to tell a story through pictures and how to deliver a story that is easily understood and appreciated by our viewers. By the end of the course you can expect to produce a news package, on your own, from research to transmission within a limited period of time.
