- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is: - to get a basic idea of the discipline of private international law in a historical context; - to get a basic idea of Czech - national and EU private international law; - to get a basic idea of the sources of legal regulation and their mutual links /interaction/; - to get a basic idea of the legal regulation of obligations arising from contracts with an international element.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - identify the essential features of private international law; - identify the sources of legislation; - determine the links between them; - to determine in its basic form the legal regulation of contracts with an international element pursuant to the Rome I Regulation.

- Teaching methods
- The course is taught at a distance using MS TEAMS and established study groups. This part is timetabled. In addition, the student has designed units for self-study in an interactive curriculum. These contain various elements such as materials, audio materials, review questions, etc.
