Course objectives
The Students will understand legal framework for economic liberalisation within the European Union. They will be capable to assess the obstacles to trade in goods and services and movements of persons and capital and their acceptability.
Learning outcomes
Students will be capable to:
- qualify typical cross-border movements as particular freedoms,
- understand importance of case law and secondary law,
- assess acceptability of obstacles to these movements.
Syllabus
  • /1/ free movement of goods - customs duties and taxes,
  • /2/ free movement of goods - regulatory affairs,
  • /3/ free momvement of persons (individuals) - citizenship, entry, stay, restrictions,
  • /4/ free movement of persons (individuals) - economic and social aspects,
  • /5/ freedom of establishment - corporations, free investment of capital, freedom of payments,
  • /6/ free movement of services.
