Course objectives
The aim of this subject is to help the student continue working on his/her project approved within the course DAF3DT03 Doctoral Thesis Project III. The preparation of the thesis is done in five phases (subjects Doctoral Thesis I to V). In this third phase, the doctoral student in close co-operation with his/her supervisor will conduct research needed for work on his topic. Apart from that the student will prepare a chapter (that will in conjunction with the chapter prepared within the course DAL5DT05 Doctoral Thesis II amount about 50 % of the final thesis) and present it during the internal PhD workshop (or conference) in order to gain feedback of his/her supervisor and members of academic staff. Also, the student has to present her/his results to students as a pedagogical practice. The scope of this presentation will be specified by the supervisor.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course student will be able to produce academic text and present it to supervisor and other academics/practitioners.

Assessment methods
The progress of the doctoral student will be monitored and evaluated by the supervisor. A key part of the assessment is the presentation of progress during a Ph.D. workshop (or conference).
