- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to make students familiar with the doctrine and theories of private international law up to the 19th century (incl). Understanding the development of the private international law is crucial for the study of all related theoretical subjects of the field.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to: - identify the main features in the development of private international law - compare differences in development of the field in the continental legal system and the common law legal system - identify the effects of doctrine and its influence on the current development of (European) private international law
