- characterize function of organs of senses and peripheral and central nervous systems
- relate studied organs of the head, neck, back, thorax and abdomen with respect to adjacent structures
Syllabus
  • 1. Surface anatomy and structure of the spinal cord and brain stem.
  • 2. Surface anatomy and structure of the cerebellum, diencephalon and telencephalon.
  • 3. The cranial nerves III. - XII.
  • 4. The autonomic system. Meninges, ventricles and vascular system of the CNS.

Course objectives
This subject is dedicated to i/ study of nervous system and ii/ study of topographic anatomy of the body (except of extremities – are part of ZLAN0232p,s and except of head – s. ZLAN0333c). Students learn on the models and fixed preparates macroscopic description of central and peripheral nervous system. There are horizontal, frontal and sagital sections used for study of CNS structures. We use contrast X-ray pictures and MRi pictures for learning. Students obtain knowledges of topography of the neck, thorax, abdomen, dorsum and pelvis during demonstrations on the cadavers.
Syllabus
  • 1. Surface anatomy and structure of the spinal cord and brain stem. 2. Surface anatomy and structure of the cerebellum, diencephalon and telencephalon. 3. The cranial nerves III. - XII. 4. The autonomic system. Meninges, ventricles and vascular system of the CNS. 5. The auditory system. The visual system. 6. Demonstration of the topographical areas.
