- Course objectives
- The main aims of the subject are: to become familiar with the content of neurology in area of nursing work; to acquire an overview of the main diagnostic procedures in neurology with respect to pregnancy;to become familiar with clinical symptomatology, course and prognosis of main neurological disorders and their specifics with respect to pregnancy The student will be able to: - acquint in neurological examination methods - recognize basic symptoms of neurological diseases by women - resolve a case study of a woman with neurological disease
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be able to: - Analyze the basic neurological symptoms of a woman; - To solve a case study of a neurological disease patient by processing a case report of a neurological patient. Sufficient processing is assessed by the teacher of the subject.
- Syllabus
- Introduction to nursing unit, documentation and nursing procedures in neurology.
- Neurological disease. Assistance in the most common methods of investigation in neurology.
- Neuroinfections with regard to pregnancy.
- Symptoms of neurological diseases in neonatal and infancy.
- Nervous heart disease with respect to pregnancy. demyelinating disease with respect to pregnancy
- Epileptic seizures and pregnancy
- Pregnancy and vascular disease of the brain.
- Analysis of the case studies.
