Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive summary of all pathological processes, defects and diseases occurring in the eye. Eye Pathology monitor disease and abnormalities of the eye, not only by the structures of the body, but also in terms of visual organs and functions of the whole organism.

Syllabus
  • Disease of eyelid, change of shape, situation, inflammantion of eyelid periphery, inflammantion of Meibom and Zeiss glands, tumors; illness of lacrimal gland and lacrimal ducts, disease of conjunctiva, degeneration, acute and chronic inflammantion, dismemberment according to the etiology, bacterial, viral, chlamydia, fungal and allergic conjunctivitis; corneal diseases: developmental anomalies, degenerative disease, inflammantion, gonorrheal inflammantion of newborns, corneal surgery; sclera and vitreous diseases; diseases of the uvea: congenital malformations,inflammantion: front,intermediate,posterior, acute, chronic; etiology of inflammantion of the uvea and treatment; intraocular tumors; retinal diseases, investigative methods, vascular infliction, retinal degeneration; angiosclerotic retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy; vitreoretinal surgery; repetition
