Course objectives
Upon completion of the course the students will be able to apply the theoretical and practical knowledge in PE lessons in the 1st stage of elementary schools. Based on the model teaching attempts and their reflections the students will be capable of designing and delivering physical education with elements of health education as per the curriculum for the 1st stage of elementary schools.
Learning outcomes
The students will be able to structure physical education lessons according to the content of compulsory education (educational programmes), develop appropriate PE lesson plans with elements of health education, and successfully deliver PE lessons in the first stage of elementary schools. Based on observation of PE lessons the students will be able to assess the qualitative and quantitative indicators of teaching PE with elements of health education.

  • Assessment of teaching activities of the teacher and learning activities of the students, methods and approaches to lesson observation and assessment, lesson effectiveness and intensity criteria. Model PE lesson in the first stage of elementary schools. Preparation and delivery of student teaching sessions. Use of basic PE lesson observation methods in the reflection and self-reflection of student teaching sessions. Summary of the results of observation and assessment of student teaching sessions in PE.

Course objectives
The students will be able to structure physical education according to the content of compulsory education (educational programmes), develop appropriate PE lesson plans with elements of health education, and successfully deliver PE lessons in the first stage of elementary schools. The students will be able to design an appropriate physical activity regimen for students in school.

  • Assessment of teaching activities of the teacher and learning activities of the students, methods and approaches to lesson observation and assessment, lesson effectiveness and intensity criteria. Model PE lesson in the first stage of elementary schools. Preparation and delivery of student teaching sessions.
