Course objectives
The aim is to provide an ability to work with a literary text at school.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to work with a literary text in the foreign language class.
Syllabus
  • Didactising of selected examples of German children's and juvenile literature: short stories, fairytales, children's lyrical poetry, realistic children's story, fantastic story, picture book, comics, songs, etc.
Teaching methods
seminar
Assessment methods
The course can be completed either by a "zápočet" or a "kolokvium". For the "zápočet", students have to didacticize a text of the German literature of their choice (group work), present the didactics with the team at the seminar, and then write it down. As it is a team effort, the written didactics must describe exactly how each team member was involved in developing the didactics. A separate seminar paper on methods of working with literary texts in German as a foreign language class must be created for the colloquium. Active participation in the course is expected.
Náhradní absolvování
Students on a study abroad program will have their ISP (Individual Study Plan) recognized, and they will be allowed to fulfill the requirements (after agreement with the instructors at the beginning of each semester) through distance learning. You can find details about the possibility of taking the course while studying abroad in the interactive syllabus.
