- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to extend their knowledge of the pupil's representation of the subject, along with ways of evaluating pupils and the possibilities of pedagogical research, through active student participation in the content of teaching.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course student will be able to: apply the principles of project education to teaching of civics, use educational projects of nonprofit organizations on the topics of civics, explain the problems of evaluation in civics, to describe basic methods of pedagogical research and possibilities of their use.
- Syllabus
- 1st–2nd week: Project-based learning and differentiation and their application in Civic Education (OV), 3rd week: Global concept of Civic Education - the global world, 4th–10th week: Issues in the implementation of cross-curricular themes in relation to Civic Education (VkO), methodological approaches to implementing the outcomes of the National Educational Framework (RVP) into teaching, use of a blended pedagogical approach (personal and social education (OSV), education for democratic citizenship (VDO), education for thinking in a European and global context (VMEGS), environmental education (EV), multicultural education (MkV), media education (MV) - possibilities and utilization of educational projects and the outcomes of non-profit organizations), 11th–12th week: Pedagogical research and assessment in Civic Education classes.
