- Course objectives
- The aim of the course phonetics and phonology is a theoretical knowledge of the phonetics of Russian language and also in terms of graphic comparison of Czech-Russian plan. Another objective of the course is to acquaint students with the terminology of the area. Emphasis is also placed on the characteristics of Russian pronunciation.
- Syllabus
- The content of the subject was included in the following topics:
- 1. The subject of phonetics. Phonetics and phonology.
- 2. Articulatory phonetics. Vocal cords. The speech apparatus.
- 3. Elements of a phonetic system. Suprasegmental and segmental features.
- 4. Vowels. Distribution of vowels. Labializace.
- 5-6. Consonants. Pronunciation, distribution according to different criteria.
- 7. Accent. Types of stress. City accent. Reduction. Basic reduction position.
- 8. Suprasegmental features. Dynamics, rhythm, tact. Rising and falling melody.Differences in comparison with the language.
- 9. Intonational structures 1 to 7.
- 10. Transcription end transliteration.
- 11. Assimilation, dissimilation, akkomodation.
- 12. Orthoepy and orthography.

- The course is concluded with an oral examination of the knowledge acquired. In the evaluation, emphasis is placed not only on knowledge but also the correct Russian pronunciation.
