- Course objectives
- The first of three free-going seminars examines how art education affects human ability to act. On the basis of reading suggestions, students are looking for didactic forms that could enhance "activist attitudes" to the world in art education. Texts confront aesthetic approaches with the concepts of social sciences and philosophy, with central polarity being dichotomy: benefit-value. The seminar also develops the public presentation (1 reading from the reading). The aim of the course is to show art education as a form of pedagogical work, which also opens up to a different concept of negotiation than purposeful rational action. The course aims to show the crucial role of value-oriented attitudes in all spheres of activity (including science and technology). It seeks didactic forms of art education that would enhance the availability of public speaking - creative and playful, "out of use", but meaningful, creative and courageous.
- Learning outcomes

Umlauf's interpretation), vita assets, vita passiva; 2) sociological theory of behavior and typology of behavior: purpose-rational vs. value-rational, values vs. facts; 3) rational choice, its conditions, alternatives (freedom vs. determination, authenticity and spontaneity, uncertainty and courage); 4) experience, attitude and speech as a performative act (Dewey, Frankl) sense versus functioning (Elias); 5) typology and conditions of creative action (Blažek / Olmrová); Tradition versus Innovation; 6) meetings and communication, dialogue (versus discussion, Gerzen); expressive action, symbolic (gesture, stylization) or ritual action (Merton's classification of conduct); sacrifice / gift vs. gain / shift; 7) Conflict and struggle as aspects of art production; cooperation, teamwork; 8) Free Action: Game and Ritual (game theorists: Fink, Huizinga, Caillois, Gadamer) versus Rutinization and Depersonalization ineffectiveness and altruism (paradox of altruism) forms of ineffectiveness
