- Course objectives
- The course is focused on the practical use of the acquired knowledge from the didactics of literary education within the preparation and implementation of their own practice. Students independently, on the basis of a selected artistic text, create a program for a group of preschool children focusing on a selected area of literary education. Based on their own creative activity and reflection, students acquire various interpretation procedures and forms that can be used for their future professional orientation.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be:
a) acquainted with the basic theoretical issues of literary education for the preschool period;
b) know the range of possible practical activities (interpretive, reproductive or creative) for literary educational work with artistic literature;
c) able to choose an artistic text according to the needs of the child's age and his / her developmental dispositions, etc.;
d) able to apply theoretical knowledge and practical experience, choose creative methods and forms when working with artistic text;
e) able to reflect his work and the work of others on the basis of an analysis of the activities used. - Syllabus
- 1. Conditions for the implementation of the practice of literary education.
- 2. Criteria for choosing a suitable artistic text for working with children of preschool age.
- 3. Listening to a group of children in a kindergarten chosen for practical implementation and practical preparation.
- 4. Realization of the literary education practice.

- The course XCJ15 Reflected practice on the didactics of literary education is connected with the course XCJ17 Methodology of Teaching Literature and Reflective Practice. The first of them (XCJ15) serves for the practical work of students in the implementation of activities, reflection and self-evaluation. Methodology of Teaching Literature and Reflective Practice (XCJ17) is focused on the theoretical anchoring of literary education and its use in pedagogical work.
