The practice is connected with the subject of Pedagogical Communication and builds on the subject of Diagnostic-Intervention Practice. It deepens practical skills related to the interpretation and application of expert advice from counseling centers (PPP and SPC).

Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the possibilities of cooperation between school and school counseling centers and equip students with knowledge and skills related to education of children with special educational needs. Intentions: - acquaint students with types of counseling activities aimed at educating children with special educational needs and gifted children; - to acquaint students with the activities of school counseling facilities (pedagogical-psychological counseling centers, special education center); - equip students with counseling skills for child legal counselors, in the education of children with special educational needs; - to familiarize students with different types of individual child support plans recommended by school counseling facilities.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - coordinate cooperation between kindergarten and school counseling facilities (pedagogical-psychological counseling centers, special education centers) in providing counseling services; - to transmit specialist information on the education of children with special educational needs to school staff; - Provide information on specialized school and other counseling facilities in the region, their focus, competences and the possibilities of using their services for children and their legal guardians;
Syllabus
  • Visits to the school counseling center: - Educational and Psychological Counselling; - Special Education Center. 1. getting acquainted with the equipment / organization, the workers provided services; 2. Getting to know the different types of support provided by the target groups; 3. Introduction to various types of school counseling outputs facilities towards children and their legal guardians and towards kindergarten. Reflection (new knowledge, their use for education of children with special educational needs, contribution of practice).

Teaching methods
Introduction to selected school counseling facilities and its activities, reflection.
Assessment methods
Practical diary according to instructions, discussion and reflection of the practice with the responsible person (practice leader) Students are obliged to complete the practice in a pedagogical and psychological counseling center and in a selected special education center.
