Course objectives
The students should use the information about the intervention and counselling in seniors with visual impairment. They should make deductions based on acquired knowledge about the possibilities of use of vision, compensatory machanisms and personal strategies for a better Quality of Life in adults and seniors. Na základě nabytých znalostí by měli umět odvodit možnosti využívání a reedukace zraku, využívání kompenzačních mechanismů a osobních strategií pro kvalitní život v období dospělosti a senia.

  • Themes: 1. Visual impairment in adults and seniors in context of Quality of Life 2. Visually impaired adult or senior in family and in the society 3. Diagnostics of visual impairment in adults and seniors 4. Low-vision therapy 5. Improvement of compensatory mechanisms and personal strategies for visually impaired adults and seniors 6. Specific competences in people with visual impairment - Braille, mobility 7. Intervention in deafblind adults and seniors.
