Course objectives
The goal of the seminar is to fix knowledge about Russian syntax. At the end of this course the student will be able to practically use the syntactic structures in oral communication; to analyze the construction of Russian sentences; to compare the syntactic system of Russian and Czech languages.
Syllabus
  • Text analysis, identifying of types of syntactical relations in sentence, modes of main sentence elements expression and their identification in sentence. Simple sentence and complex and compound sentence, one-element and two-elements sentences, sentence elements.

Teaching methods
Students work up homework and within an individual work they practice syntactical exercises. Students work individually and they also cooperate in group projects.
Assessment methods
Requirements: homework, passing of final test (75% of correct answers is needed to pass).
