Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Student after successful completion of the course will acquire the knowledge and skills of engineering and technical education. Students will be able to transmit information from skilled in the art including the preparation of technical materials and discussions. Students will become familiar with the history of science and technology and current trends where science and technology is heading.
Syllabus
  • 1. The system of education and technical training in the Czech Republic.
  • 2. Technology as a component of human culture.
  • 3. Significant discoveries and inventions in the history of technology.
  • 4. Technology in design and construction, engineering and energy, environmental issues.
  • 5. Transport Technology.
  • 6. Popularization of science and technology, technical museums in the Czech Republic.
  • 7. Information and communication technologies in technology.
  • 8. The current trends in science and technology, new discoveries and inventions.
  • 9. And future direction of science and technology, inventions and discoveries.

Conditions for obtaining colloquium:

1. Attendance at a lecture recommended (optional).
2. Seminar work towards completion of the course. Work will have a theoretical or didactic character associated with the history and current trends in science and technology.
