Course objectives

The subject will contribute to overcoming social and cultural barriers between the border areas of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic and will create conditions for improving the employability of teaching graduates of the Masaryk University in Brno and the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava.

Learning outcomes

Thanks to the implementation of the new educational program, students will gain information about the cross-border region, they will gain direct experience with specific places in the field, which they will be able to visit in their practice in the South Moravian and Trnava regions. They will acquire a new skill - leading and implementing excursion teaching, local contacts for the implementation of excursion teaching and cross-border contacts for teacher partnerships using the moodle e-learning portal.

Syllabus

• Determining the specific goals of excursion teaching. Definition of thematic areas. Determination of model regions of the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. Definition and specifics of the selected cross-border regions. Comparison of cross-border regions according to specified criteria. Compilation of the cross-border excursion teaching program.
