Course objectives
Students get the skills of intervention provided to individuals with physical disability and next support measures.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to: - describe support options of people with physical disabilities - work with compensation aids - apply therapeitic approaches
Syllabus
  • 1. Early intervention for children with physical disabilities.
  • 2. Intervention in therapeutic support (Vojta method of reflex therapy, Bobath concept).
  • 3. Supportive therapies: canine therapy, hippotherapy, aromatherapy, etc.
  • 4. Reflex therapy, oral position therapy.
  • 5. Snoezelen.
  • 6. Communication aids and technologies, HANDLE approach.
  • 7. Support for psychomotor development in children with severe physical disabilities - positioning, aids.
  • 8. Basal stimulation.
  • 9. Sensory integration and sensory perception.
  • 10. Intervention in the development of fine motor skills and graphomotor skills, alternative writing methods.
