Course objectives
1. understand to detailed plant anatomy and morphology;
2. define structure of plant cell and plant tissue;
3. name structure of root, stalk, leaf, flower, seed and fruit;
4. explain interrelationship between these organisms;
5. to work with study literature.
6. define basic structure of plant cell;
7. identify and name of plant tissue;
8. describe anatomy and morphology of root, stem, leaf, flower, see and fruit;
9. interpret flower formula;
10. prepare and survey plant material.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
1. understand to detailed plant anatomy and morphology;
2. define structure of plant cell and plant tissue;
3. name structure of root, stalk, leaf, flower, seed and fruit;

  • Lectures:
  • 1. Structure of plant cell, nucleus.
  • 2. Plant tissue. Premanent tissue. Conducting tissue, xylem, phloem.Functions of plant tissue.
  • 3. Anatomy and morphology of root. Phylogeny, ontogeny. Metamorphoses. Economic importance.
  • 4. Anatomy of stalk. Phylogeny, ontogeny. Branching, buds. Metamorphoses
  • 5. Anatomy and morphology of leaf. Phylogeny, ontogeny. Metamorphoses
  • 6. Anatomy and morphology of monocotyledonous plant x dicotyledonous plant.
  • 7. Structure of flower.
  • 8. Inflorescence. 9. Structure and morphology of fruit and seed. Classification of friuts. Germination of seeds.
  • 10. and 11. Reproduction of plants.
  • 12. and 13. Transmission of plants, the life span of the plant
