- Facilitate the understanding of the notion "science", getting to know the phases of scientific discovery in various disciplines, and showing the connections between the life of a scientist and the life of the society as a whole.
- Learning outcomes
- The students will improve their understanding in the following areas: Which problems can be resolved by a scientific approach? What does it mean to approach a problem scientifically? What is the role of a scientist in the society?

- Teaching methods
- Lectures with discussions.
- Assessment methods
- Assessment of the course work is continual. After each lecture, the students fill in the online quiz or test for the last lecture. In order to pass the course, it is necessary to answer at least 9 out of 12 assignments. If the student cannot take part in the lecture, the teacher may send a text related to the subject matter of the lecture. In that case, the student will write a response to the text.
