Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce participants to the development of the health education curriculum in a historical context, the aims and content of health education and to describe the anchoring of health education in curriculum documents.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the participant is able to: - describe the main objectives and content of the educational field of health education; - describe trends in health education teaching; - integrate health education into the education system and the framework curriculum for primary education.

  • 1. Health, health literacy and health education. 2. Subject, aims and tasks of didactics of health education. 3. Development of health education curriculum in the historical context of conceptual changes in the education system. 4. Trends in the teaching of health education. 5. Teaching takes the form of webinars and independent work.
Assessment methods
The participant explains the hierarchy of curricular documents (Framework Curriculum for Primary Education, Standards, Methodological Commentaries of the VkZ) on the selected outcome of the educational field of Health Education. The semester assignment is part of the participant's portfolio in the field of didactics.
