- Course objectives
- This subject offers the students an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the history of Czech literature. It extends and also systematises present knowledge of significant events in Czech literary life in the 19th and 20th centuries. Its aim is also to provide the students with a better orientation in the broad spectrum of available secondary sources, especially in the area of the new information that regards the given topic.

- Students learn in detail about significant events in Czech literary life in the 19th and 20th centuries.

- Assessment methods
- Completion: credit. Requirements: written thesis about one chosen theme. Themes - given in the start of semester - concern all periods of literary development from the beginning to the 1990s. The written work consists of main features and trends in the national literature plus the position and features of literature for children and youth in chosen period.
