Course objectives
The objective of the subject is to get the basic knowledge of the practical language exercises. The emphasis is placed on the improving of the communicative skills trough the dialog, monologue and discusses in the ambit of actual conversational topics.The practising of the oral and written communication, grammar and communicative skills are the base of the subject. The improving of the oral speech in the lexical and grammar aspect is the basic component. The student are simultaneously improving the listening and reading skills working with texts and actual periodicals.

Teaching methods
Seminar. Attendance 80% (two absences allowed). Attendance is required also for these students who have the subject registered as repeated.
Assessment methods
Exam - written part and oral part. Final exam - all practic grammar, pragmatic and accuracy will be evaluated (Doleželová, E. Překladová cvičení). Oral part - discussion with the teacher will be based on two topics from the course.
