- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to think in aesthetic categories and concepts.
The intent of this subject is a preliminary of theoretic and historic entrance into aesthetic problematics as science field and of axiology in art works especially in music. - Syllabus
- Definition and subject of aesthetics.
- Aspects of understanding of concepts of beauty and its functioning as an evaluation criterion in art.
- Overview of the development of aesthetics with regard to music: ancient medieval aesthetics, medieval, Renaissance, Classicism, German classical aesthetics, Post-Kant aesthetics, aesthetics of the 19th century.
- The basic trends in aesthetics of the 20th century.
