The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to understand and to speak in English about chosen chemical problems at the level of upper secondary school.

  • Particles.

    Atoms combining.

    The mole.

    Chemical change.

    Bases of chemical kinetics.

    Air and water.

    Acids and bases.

    Metals.

    Hydrogen and nitrogen.

    Oxygen, sulphur and chlorine.

    Carbon and carbon compounds.

    Bases of biochemistry.

Assessment methods
1) Not more than 3 absences.

2) Correctly solved 26 questions from the textbook Gallagher, Ingram: Chemistry Made Clear (2 questions after each lesson). List of the questions is available at the teacher. The answers can be short, but they must be written in English. The answers can be written at home.

3) Oral discussion about the answers.
