Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The subject is focused on inclusive approaches in education of students with emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD). The main emphasis is on the development of emotional and behavioral disorders and their impact on the education path and future perspectives of the child and their surroundings. Students will be familiarized with the definition of EBD, the dynamics of its development and possible risk and protective factors. Furthermore, students will be introduced to the consequences of the EBD on the quality of life, special educational needs of students with EBD and support measures in inclusive school environment.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion, students will:
- acquire the basic terminology connected to the EBD,
- understand the dynamics of their development,
- be able to identify possible risk and protective factors,
- be able to analyze the impact of EBD on the education path and future perspectives of the child and their surroundings,
- be familiarized with the special educational needs of students with EBD,
- understand the main objectives of supporting students with EBD,
- be able to suggest appropriate support measures with focus on the inclusive environment.

  • Risk and protective factors in the development of emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • The impact of the emotional and behavioral disorders on the quality of life, education path and future perspectives of the child and their surroundings.
  • Special educational needs of students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • ADHD, ADD, ODD.
  • The support of students with emotional and behavioral disorders in the inclusive school environment - the individual and system support.
